Why are Men Insensitive
Part 1
If your feeling up to this point in time were that men are insensitive then, I'm happy to say, you are completely wrong. The fact is that men really are sensitive but they simply do not express emotions in the same way as women. In fact, in most cases, they tend to repress their emotions.
This is what modern society has taught men
(i.e.. "Boys don't cry" and so on..)
It teaches us that men are the stronger of the two sexes and hence men have to be emotionally strong. Being emotionally strong directly means that you repress emotions and do not express them freely as women do.

Luckily, not all men think
the same way as the guy
in the top picture does (thank God),
but still, there are a lot who do.
Believe it or not, men are not insensitive
Though most men repress their emotions, generally speaking, they are not insensitive. A great majority of men simply do not show their emotions on the outside. Most men, in fact, are very sensitive and believe it or not, men are the emotionally weaker sex.
This means men can get hurt much faster than women and not know how to deal with the situation.
Because they cannot express their emotions and hurt easily they wallow in it all by themselves, taking out their sorrows by resorting to drugs and alcohol.
Men take to alcohol to release suppressed emotions
Why do you think men abuse alcohol more than women? 90% of men who drink, drink out of sorrow or deep emotional pain. They drink because they want to forget what is happening around them for a while. Men who are content with their life and who have a healthy relationship with those they care about seldom take to abusive substances.
Abusive drinking involves drinking so much that the brain is no longer able to concentrate on a single thought. This way a man can become free from pent-up emotions that are eating him from within. Emotions that he wants to express but is not able to because he is a man and the society expects him to behave like one.
Men don't like to get sympathy
A woman in sorrow would love to get sympathy from her friends and relatives and in most cases she will get it too. But the case is different when it comes to men. Most men hate sympathy. This hatred is a result of the image society implants in our heads. Because of this women can easily label a man as an insensitive person who simply does not care for others.
Not Socially adept
The majority of men are not socially intelligent, men usually talk far less than a woman does and are not as skilled as women in verbal communication. Men do not think like women. Our brains are different and we are brought up differently. I think you can safely say that most men do not talk as much as women. Talking is a talent women have, men talk but not particularly well. Even when men talk to their friends it is usually disjointed banter. When they make public speeches it is usually prepared well in advance.
